TERABAC
Name:
Terabac
Active Principle:
Sodium Iodide (131I)
Therapeutic Action:
It is indicated for the treatment of hyperthyroidism (diffuse toxic goiter or nodular multiple toxic goiter). Diagnosis:
– For the pre-therapeutic determination of the kinetics of radioactive iodine (determination of the storage and effective half-life in the thyroid gland by means of a two-phase radioactive iodine test)
– Calculation of the activity necessary for therapy. – Whole body scintigraphy for the follow-up of papillary or follicular thyroid carcinomas. Therapy
– Therapy of focal or disseminated Graves’ disease and thyroid autonom
– Therapy of papillary or follicular thyroid carcinomas and their metastases Sodium iodide (131I) therapy is often combined with surgical measures and a thyrostat in a combination treatment.
